SOUTHPORT, MAINE (September 30, 2014)—The Inn at Cuckolds Lighthouse is seeking a pair of full-time innkeepers to provide five-star hospitality to discerning and adventurous travelers during the 2015 season.
The innkeepers will reside in the elegantly restored Keeper’s Quarters on Cuckolds Island, located one-half mile off Southport Island in Boothbay Harbor, Maine during the Inn’s summer season, which runs from mid-May through mid-October. In addition to providing impeccable hospitality, including preparing and serving hearty, healthy breakfasts, elegant high tea, and gourmet dinners to guests, the Innkeepers must be adept at safe small boat handling in sometimes challenging conditions as they transport guests between the mainland and the Inn. US Coast Guard Limited Master’s License required.
“This is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to live in one of the most spectacular locations on the Maine coast while ensuring our guests have an unforgettable stay,” said Janet Reingold, spokesperson for the Inn at Cuckolds Lighthouse. “We are looking for a vivacious, gracious pair with hospitality, culinary and nautical know-how to provide the five-star experience our guests have already come to expect.” In return, the Innkeepers will receive six months’ lodging and a monthly stipend as compensation.
